FOUNDING OF THE GAMES
Inspired by their experiences in different Hellenistic Games in New York and Chicago, the team became driven to bring an event of this magnitude home.
Over the next couple of years, this same team would meet bi-monthly through their busy personal and professional lives in an open, respectful and democratic manner to construct their vision of our very own Greek- Canadian Games.
We hope that one day you become as proud of the Games as we are. Proud that it is local and proud that it serves as a way of giving back to the community that has given us so much. The Games would not be possible without your involvement and your continued feedback. The GCGs team deeply believes in progress and positive change and as such always welcomes your reflections to ensure that our Games is always in tune with the people that make it possible.
Our hope is to grow old with the Games and to see it prosper for generations to come!

Always a supporter of my heritage, I decided to step out of my comfort zone, cancel some other commitments, and encourage my children and bring her to the epic event we now call in full "THE GREEK CANADIAN GAMES"!
Best decision I had made!
As soon as I walked through the doors of Bill Crothers SS, I went from skeptical to fully committed in a matter of seconds! We were greeted with smiles and what we know as "φιλοξενια". The event already looked to be professionally organized with order and zero chaos. My first impression, ended up being my lasting impression...
It was one of the best decisions I made as a parent for my children. I have three girls of different athletic abilities, however, they all benefited equally!
The fact that it was organized by professionals that are clearly giving back to the community and encouraging our youth to be the best that they can be, is what I keep emphasizing to my daughters!
The actual games are just one aspect of the event that took place, it was the fact that our kids have all these people to look up to, people who care, people that are living to their full potential and are the example I want for my children.
My daughter will participate (very willingly) until they are 14, and then it will be their turn to be mentored as volunteers and give back to the community!
It was a quality event, that brought together quality values and quality people!
